Description

The Milesight WT401 is a wireless thermostat that measures the temperature in a room and directly controls the heating or cooling. The device has a built-in temperature and humidity sensor and a PIR sensor for presence detection. This allows the system to switch automatically between use and standby, ensuring a comfortable indoor climate and more efficient energy use.

The WT401 communicates wirelessly via LoRaWAN and is deployed as part of an IoT environment for building management. The thermostat makes measurement data available for further processing in systems in which climate control and energy use are monitored. In combination with other sensors and installations, this creates a data stream that can be used within a GACS (Building Automation and Control System), in which installations are centrally monitored, analysed and controlled.

How does the Milesight WT401 work in practice?

In practice, the WT401 is used in offices, hotels, shops and other commercial buildings where climate control per room is desired. The thermostat is used to control rooms automatically and regulate them individually. In this way, you gain insight into the temperature trend and use of the room. This data forms an important basis for optimising energy consumption and aligning installations with the actual use of rooms.

The WT401 is designed for stable and energy-efficient operation with clear controls and an e-ink display. The thermostat works as an extension to existing HVAC and building systems and provides measurement data that contributes to clear, data-driven control of installations. This makes the device well suited to projects in which buildings are set up according to GACS guidelines, without replacing existing systems.
