Milesight WT303
Milesight Room thermostat | LoRaWAN | 2.7 Inch e-ink Display | 2-Pipe/4-Pipe FCU | DI Interface-Key Card Integration
Description
The WT303 from Milesight is an advanced room thermostat developed specifically for 2-pipe and 4-pipe fan coil units (FCU) with 3-speed fans or ECM fans. The thermostat manages 2-wire or 3-wire on/off motorized valves with relay outputs up to 4A resistive load. With a 2.7-inch e-ink display and built-in temperature and humidity sensors, the WT303 continuously shows room status while monitoring the climate.
Via LoRaWAN, the thermostat communicates with gateways for remote management, and BACnet integration via Milesight LoRaWAN gateways enables seamless connection to building BMS systems. The thermostat supports 8 plans with 16 schedules each for flexible automation. With NFC configuration, keycard input, open window detection and freeze protection, the WT303 is suitable for hotels, offices and commercial buildings.
How does the Milesight WT303 work in practice?
Do you buy the WT303? Then you get complete FCU control for 2-pipe or 4-pipe systems. Connect heating/cooling valves and fan relays according to the wiring diagram, mount the thermostat in a standard 86mm or 60mm wall box, configure via NFC, and the thermostat automatically regulates temperature between 5°C and 35°C. Via the LoRaWAN gateway you manage all thermostats centrally.
Hotels and hospitality use the WT303 in guest rooms for individual climate control with keycard integration. When guests check in and place the keycard in the slot, the DI (dry contact) input activates the thermostat, which automatically brings the room to comfort temperature. On check-out, the keycard system detects that guests have left and automatically switches the thermostat to eco mode (freeze protection in winter, minimal cooling in summer) to save energy. Via the LoRaWAN gateway and BACnet, the hotel BMS integrates all rooms centrally, and facility managers see in real time which rooms are occupied and which are running in eco. The 8 plans with 16 schedules enable different policies per room type (suites, standard, economy).
Office buildings place the WT303 in meeting rooms and offices for zone-based climate control. Each thermostat controls a 4-pipe FCU with separate heating and cooling valves for maximum comfort. Via the LoRaWAN gateway, all thermostats report to the central BMS, which automatically synchronizes schedules with building occupancy via BACnet communication. During working hours (8:00 to 18:00) the climate runs on comfort; outside office hours the BMS switches all zones to eco via a multicast function that updates all thermostats simultaneously. The open window detection measures sudden temperature drops that indicate open windows and automatically switches off the climate to prevent energy waste.
