Description

The UG65 from Milesight is a LoRaWAN Gateway, suitable for connecting various LoRaWAN sensors.

This LoRaWAN gateway supports 8 channels and, using the SX1302 LoRa chip and powerful ARM Cortex-A53 processor, can connect up to 2000 sensors.

The gateway was developed to provide sufficient coverage for applications in office buildings, schools, hospitals, hotels or factory halls.

In addition, this gateway also supports a built-in network server and MQTT/HTTP(S) API for easy stand-alone deployment. It also supports secondary development with the Python SDK, and user-friendly programming via the Node-RED development tool. This enables Edge Computing and allows other applications such as Siemens PLCs to be connected.

The gateway also has BACnet/IP support, allowing the LoRaWAN sensors to be easily added to a building management system (BMS).

The gateway has a modern, robust and IP65-certified housing and is optimised for wall or pole mounting. The LoRaWAN gateway can be powered via the power supply or Power-over-Ethernet.

As standard, the gateway is supplied with a 3-year warranty and the following accessories:

Application & use

When to use

For setting up a scalable LoRaWAN network in office buildings, schools or hospitals.
When local data processing (Edge Computing) and integration with industrial systems such as Siemens PLCs is needed.
For integrating LoRaWAN sensor data into existing building management systems (BMS).
In environments where a robust, dust- and splash-proof gateway is required, such as factory halls.

Ideal for

System integrators and IoT solution providers.
Facility managers and property managers.
Developers of smart building and industrial IoT applications.
Companies that need a reliable LoRaWAN infrastructure for indoor monitoring.

Not suitable for

Applications that require built-in GPS functionality in the gateway.
Installations that require prolonged submersion in water.
Fully unprotected outdoor installations in extreme weather conditions, given the focus on 'Indoor' use.
