Milesight VS361
Milesight Storefront Footfall Sensor | Measures visitor flows | LoRaWAN | 1m – 9m detection range | IP65 | DC/PoE powered
Description
The Milesight VS361 is a footfall sensor that measures the number of passers-by at an entrance. The device works with an infrared detection zone that measures movement and distance. This makes it easy to see how many people walk past a shop or entrance, without using cameras. This gives you immediate insight into visitor flows and crowding at entrances.
The sensor communicates wirelessly via LoRaWAN and makes counts available for further processing in IoT platforms. Installation is easy because the sensor works wirelessly and requires little infrastructure. Integration takes place via various IoT platforms of your choice, so the data can easily be combined with existing dashboards or analysis tools.
How does the Milesight VS361 work in practice?
In practice, the sensor is used in retail, offices and public buildings. Think of shops that want to compare visitor flows with actual conversions, or entrances where insight into crowding and usage is needed. At temporary locations such as events or pop-up stores, too, the sensor can be deployed quickly to gain immediate insight into visitor movements.
The VS361 is designed for long-term use with a stable wireless connection and minimal maintenance. The sensor delivers reliable data that can be used within existing systems for analysis or monitoring. It thus forms a practical addition for organisations that want to gain insight into visitor flows and support them better with data.
