Description

The Teltonika RUTC41 is a 4G router for IoT applications where network connectivity, local processing and management come together. Devices such as cameras, meters, terminals, controllers and technical cabinets can be connected to a central system via mobile internet, Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

Within an installation, the RUTC41 acts as a connection point between local equipment and the outside world. The router can manage data traffic, monitor connections and enable secure remote access. In addition, the router can run small software applications locally with Docker. This means certain tasks can be carried out directly on site, without everything having to go to an external server first. This makes the router suitable for edge computing in practical IoT environments.

When do I deploy the RUTC41?

The Teltonika RUTC41 is suitable for industrial automation, energy projects, smart city applications, retail and remote technical installations. Think of charging points, camera networks, metering cabinets, retail systems, temporary locations and machines that need to transmit data or be managed remotely. Combined with a well-configured IoT router environment and suitable SIM solutions, the connection can be set up in a stable and flexible way.

For organisations, this model is interesting when a 4G connection needs to be combined with local processing and a modern wireless network. The RUTC41 fits well in installations where multiple wired devices, Wi-Fi users and IoT integrations come together, without having to switch straight to a 5G router.

Key benefits

Seamlessly integrates 4G connectivity with local data processing and management for IoT applications.
Offers versatile connectivity via mobile internet (2G/3G/4G CAT 4), 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports and WiFi 6.
Supports edge computing by running software applications locally with Docker, which reduces latency.
Enables advanced network management, connection monitoring and secure remote access.
Provides dual SIM functionality for redundancy and reliability of the mobile connection.
Suitable for integrating various wired devices, WiFi users and IoT integrations within a single installation.

Application & use

When to use

For connecting local equipment such as cameras, meters and controllers to a central system via mobile internet, Ethernet or WiFi.
In industrial automation, energy projects, smart city applications and retail for reliable data transfer and remote management.
For remote technical installations, such as charging points, camera networks and metering cabinets, that need to transmit data or be managed remotely.
When a 4G connection needs to be combined with local processing and a modern wireless network (WiFi 6).

Ideal for

Organisations that need a robust 4G router with edge computing capabilities for IoT deployments.
Installations where multiple wired devices, WiFi users and IoT integrations come together.
Applications in industrial automation, energy, smart cities and retail that need local data processing.
Setting up secure and stable connections for remote machines and systems.
Projects that require a flexible and scalable IoT infrastructure without switching straight to 5G.

Not suitable for

Applications that require a 5G connection for ultra-low latency or extremely high bandwidth.
Direct installation in unprotected outdoor environments with extreme weather conditions or a lot of dust, given the IP30 rating.
